Sasha's Comfort

Jenna had just completed the last lines of a letter to send to the probate court when in came Mr Barrett entered the room. Mr Barrett was one of the senior partners of the legal practice where she worked and when he visited her office it was normally to pass on work. Startled she looked up from her desk wondering what he wanted now.

Jenna, you better go down and see to Sasha, he said with a troubled look on his face. "She is very upset. Why what's the matter asked, a concerned Jenna wondering why Sasha could be so distressed.

Barrett replied, her boyfriend had just called and it appeared that she has had some bad news, so could she go and look after her. Yes, of course, Mr Barrett," Jenna said sincerely. She had really liked Sasha and would do her best to help her she thought as she put away the letters she was working on in a folder and placed them at the side of her desk.

Jenna worked as a trainee solicitor for a small legal firm, which employed about forty staff members. The office was located in a large converted house. Normally she worked in a small room upstairs with another female colleague, so she went downstairs to the room where Sasha had her desk.

Sasha worked in a larger office, which contained five desks. When Jenna entered Sasha was sitting sobbing at her desk, her long blond hair on the wooden surface. Two of her male colleagues were there. One of them, called Peter, had put his arm round her shoulder in an attempt to comfort her, while James was standing watching the scene.

James turned round and looked at Jenna. Jenna was a stunning woman with shoulder length dark hair and always wore feminine clothes that complemented her figure. As usual Jenna was dressed in a fashionable and stylish manner, wearing a lacy bra underneath a white blouse, a close fitting grey knee length business skirt, dark nylon stockings and grey high-heeled shoes. So it was no surprise that he gazed at her a moment, his eyes flitting from her breasts, to her hips, the hem of her skirt and finally up to her pretty face. Jenna was always quite flattered by the attention of my male colleagues. But today Jenna was concerned about Sasha.

What's happened? Jenna whispered to James as Jenna watched poor Sasha sobbing uncontrollably at her desk. I think her dad died. Her boyfriend just phoned to give her the news, replied James softly, he's coming to pick her up later.

Jenna saw Peter was beginning to lean a bit too close to Sasha to be just comforting her, it was clear that intervention was necessary.

Right Peter, I will deal with it from here, Jenna said firmly. Sasha was a gorgeous young woman and Jenna was concerned Peter may do something silly while she was in such a vulnerable state. Jenna knew that he liked Sasha romantically and Jenna didn't want either of them to get into trouble.

Like Jenna, Sasha was a trainee solicitor. She had joined the company straight from university a year before. Jenna was twenty-four and one year ahead of her. Jenna was single at the time. But Sasha was in a relationship, a fact that was a source of great disappointment to the numerous admirers among her male colleagues in the company, of whom the most fervent was definitely Peter.

Jenna walked up to Sasha and Peter reluctantly stood aside. Jenna put her hands on Saha's shoulders, feeling the smooth material of her white blouse under her fingers. Come on Sasha," Jenna said softly. Come up to my room and we'll sort you out.

But I have to finish this litigation letter for Mr Fisher, she sniffled, tears streaming from her eyes. Sasha was one of these girls who was universally popular, and deserved to be. She was cheerful, friendly, generous, loyal and a hard worker.
